Joseph Ataman, a London-born journalist living and working in France, ran CNN’s coverage of Macron’s 2022 re-election.
A field producer for the network in Paris, he’s spent years covering the twists and turns of French politics and interviewing people across the country.

He’s reported from across Europe and the Middle East, covering some of the biggest stories of the past decade, from the fallout of the war against ISIS to the funeral of Pope Francis. He’s reported from the frontlines of the war in Ukraine, to the voting booths of Tehran and the wildfire-ravaged forests of southern France.
Ataman studied at the University of Cambridge and was a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard University during his master’s degree in Middle Eastern studies.
God Among Men is his first book.
